Can't I just ask ChatGPT to write my CV?
You can, and lots of people do. The difference is what goes in. These prompts make the AI ask the questions a good career coach would, check your fit for the role, and refuse to invent results. That's what turns generic text into a CV that sounds like you.
Which AI do I need?
Any AI chat tool works, including the free versions of Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. To upload your old CV as a file, use one that accepts attachments. Otherwise you can paste the text in.
Do I need Microsoft Word?
The templates are Word files (.docx). They also open in Google Docs, Pages and the free Word online, though spacing may shift slightly outside Word.
Will it work for my industry or level?
The prompts work from your own CV and the job ad you give them, so they suit most professional roles, from early career through to senior positions.
Will it write the whole thing for me?

Is my information safe?
